Keeping the boredom at bay...

With Boris’ roadmap out of lockdown on the way tomorrow we are feeling hopeful today!

I’m hopeful for spring and summer weddings (check out our new in Mother of the Bride here), dinners out and the return of the rule of 6!

But, life though isn’t expected to return to normal straight away, this is just the next step along the winding path.

To keep the boredom at bay for the next period here are our favourite picks of things to do while at home.

1. Learn a new skill, or improve on an old one.

This lockdown I’ve been brushing up on my knitting skills.

The sets from Wool and the Gang have made this a doddle. Have a look here.

2. Baking up a storm.

My oven has been in overdrive this lockdown. The weather has been cold and I’ve been less inclined to venture out.
Of all the treats I’ve baked these were my favourite.

3. Read a new bestseller.

Top on our list month is Tomorrow Will Be A Good Day by Captain Thomas Moore. Currently number 2 on the Sunday Times Bestsellers list,
we can wait to read Captain Moore’s autobiography. Here are some reviews below

A riveting account. Tom is as sharp as a bayonet . . . This old soldier should never, ever fade away in our memory. Neither should his life advice ― Daily Express

Engaging . . . His upbeat nature shines through and reminds us how much worse this year would have been without him ― Evening Standard

A wonderful life story with lessons for us all . . . beautifully written ― Daily Telegraph

4. Have cocktails with friends (via zoom)!

The Cocktail Man delivers the perfect cocktail through your letter box.
Ready to mix at home these delicious drinks are just the pick me up we need to get us through these final weeks!

5. Mindfulness.

Focusing the mind is good for relaxing and for memory. Mindfulness doesn’t have to be boring!
These paint by number sets are heaven to do and at the end you have your own beautiful creation to hang.
