Gina Suggests: Best places to celebrate Guy Fawkes Night
1. Castle Rising Fireworks, Kings Lynn, Norfolk
A celebration of both Halloween and Guy Fawkes crowds of people come to watch the display with the historic castle, one of the finest 12th Century castles in the England, as the backdrop. It is regarded as one of the top displays in the country. This year they will have both a dragon and a wizard on hand to meet the children!
Saturday 28th October. Gates open at 5PM with the display starting at 7.15PM.
2. York Maze North Yorkshire
For an amazing bonfire night to remember, remember in York the home of Guy Fawkes, head to The York Maze Fireworks Spectacular. Held on 5th November there will be fire shows, the explosive lighting of York's biggest bonfire, food stalls, live music, sideshows and the most amazing fireworks show choreographed to music.

3. Cambridge’s Bonfire Night takes place on Midsummer Common
Lovely Midsummer Common in central Cambridge attracts 20,000 people to its annual bonfire, fireworks and funfair extravaganza. A free event, although donations are welcomed. 4th November 6pm
4. London’s Alexandra Palace firework festival
The Alexandra Palace Fireworks Festival is easily one of the biggest displays in town. In fact this year it's happening TWICE. As well as impressive fireworks exploding with a glittering panoramic view of London as its backdrop, tickets include a huge fire parade with burning floats, street food and an Oktoberfest style craft beer village.
Friday 3rd 8.30pm and Saturday 4th November 7.30pm
5. Leeds Castle, Kent
One of the most beautiful places to celebrate Guy Fawkes, this year’s theme is ‘Best of British’ and is set to have over 25,000 starbursts filling the sky. Those wanting to attend the display, can arrive from 2pm onwards to enjoy live music, entertainment, falconry display, maze and play areas and variety of delicious food options. This fantastic bonfire night sells out out every year so buy tickets before you go.

6. Sparks in the Park, Cardiff
Wales’ biggest and best firework display, now in its 30th year. Taking place at Coopers Field beside the exquisite Cardiff Castle this is set to be an event to remember for both children and adults. This is now a ticketed event (with proceeds going to charity) due to its huge popularity.
Saturday 4th November. Gates open at 4.30 with childrens display at 5.30 followed by the main fireworks at 7pm
7. Fireworks at the Fort, Segedunum, Tyne and Wear
Bring your oohs and aahs to fireworks at the fort and see the night sky over the River Tyne light up. The ancient ruins and the iconic spot provide a stunning backdrop to what will be a dazzling display of fireworks. This is a free event!

8. Lewes Bonfire Night Celebrations, East Sussex
Six local bonfire societies are joined by about 30 visiting groups and dozens of marching bands, each with their own parades, traditions and costumes, culminating with huge bonfires on the hills around town and spectacular firework displays. Seventeen burning crosses are carried through the streets to commemorate the 17 martyrs burned at the stake in the town in the 16th century. Lewes's medieval cobbled streets get extremely crowded and chaotic, so it isn't suitable for young children The Daily Telegraph has described the night as "a head-on collision of Halloween and Mardi Gras".
