Gina In the Press: Gina Bacconi and the Calendar Girls

The Calendar Girls are back! After taking to the London stage in 2009 and a sell-out national tour, the girls will be returning the the West End in January 2017, and with Gary Barlow in charge of the soundtrack, we can’t wait!
Based on a heartwarming true story, a group of ladies from the local Women’s Institute find unexpected fame by producing a nude calendar for charity. Nearly 20 years after the real ladies from Yorkshire clubbed together to shoot the calendar, Tim Firth’s adaptation for the stage is heartwarming, poignant, but hilariously funny.
Claire Moore and Joanna Riding (pictured below) play Chris and Angela, the best friends who become the driving forces of the calendar. Claire wears a stunning fishtail dress by Gina Bacconi. Shop the dress here.
Pictured here are Michelle Dotrice, Sophie-Louise Dann and Claire Machin, who play some of the other feisty Rylstone & District Women’s Institute members. Claire wears a classic and elegant Gina Bacconi two-piece. Shop the dress here.
And finally the girls practising with Tim Firth and Gary Barlow, we're just going to leave this here...
The Calendar Girls will be showing at the Phoenix Theatre in January 2017.
